Top 3 eCommerce Reads for February 2022
It’s been a couple months since we’ve posted a good article round-up, so here are our top 3 reads for the month of February!
This article is a couple of months old, but we’ve been seeing a lot of movement in the Shopify store roll-up space. It’s a clever strategy, and we’re keeping an eye on where it all goes!
Does every direct-to-consumer brand need to build a community?
This article provides a great perspective on whether building a community is right for your brand. Not every brand lends itself well to building a fanbase - the article mentions mattress sellers as a great example. On the flipside, if your brand for whom building a community makes sense, you can dramatically lower your customer support and acquisition costs if you play your cards right. Shopify released its annual “Future of Ecommerce” report. One of our big takeaways is that the cost of customer acquisition is rising. As a result, generating loyalty via a community is even more important to keep your customers coming back. We’re obviously biased, but we believe creating a “member-class” of customers is a great way to foster that loyalty and drive high-margin recurring revenue in the process.
