Partner Spotlight: Intuitive Shipping

In the course of planning our new app, Conjured Memberships, one of the membership perks we knew we wanted to be able to offer was free or discounted shipping for members. If you’ve been using Shopify for any length of time, you know that the native shipping mechanics are very bare-bones. Unless you’re on Shopify Plus (Shopify’s $2,000+/month enterprise platform), it isn’t easy to provide free shipping to a subset of your customers. Rather than re-invent the wheel, we decided to partner with best-in-class shipping apps to provide the “free shipping” perk.

That’s where Intuitive Shipping comes in. Started by a husband and wife duo in 2016, Intuitive Shipping provides merchants with the ability to execute the ideal shipping strategies for their stores. Their app has been a ‘New & Noteworthy App’, ‘Featured App’, and 2x ‘Staff Pick’ by Shopify, and has been used by thousands of Shopify brands. Their shipping mechanics are top notch, and like Conjured, they have a strong focus on customer support - qualities that make us excited to recommend them.

While all of Intuitive Shipping’s mechanics work like a dream, the one that’s necessary to offering members-only free shipping is restricting rates by customer tag. Not every shipping app includes this feature, and none of them are as intuitive (pardon the pun!) to implement.
